"We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us" (Winston Churchill)

Join a guided tour of Copenhagen's new districts Ørestad and Sydhavn from the saddle - with a focus on architecture, sustainable urban development, and award-winning cycling infrastructure.

Discover how innovative design, iconic buildings, and circular solutions are shaping a more liveable future for people and the planet. Along the way, you'll hear stories and insights about decision-making processes and the collaborations between architects and engineers that push boundaries in the construction industry and make a concert hall fly.

The tour is ideal for urban planners, real estate developers, architects, engineers, and professionals in the built environment — as well as anyone passionate about architecture, sustainability, and the future of our cities (and who isn't?)

📍 The tour starts and ends at Flæsketorvet in Kødbyen, Copenhagen's Meatpacking District.

Bike rental

For large groups, I recommend to rent bicycles at your hotel, or via the company www.copenhagenbicycles.dk. They can deliver bikes to Kødbyen and pick them up again afterwards.

For smaller groups and individuals, I recommend the company www.Baisikeli.dk - they offer bike rental on a drop-in basis, nearest shop is very close to Kødbyen.

For prices and models, please visit their websites.

It might also be an option to use app-based rental bikes from Donkey Republic or similar companies that operate in Copenhagen.

Thank you for a fun and informative bike tour. It was a great experience — insightful and enriched with great storytelling!
